STUDENT CHAPTER OBJECTIVES

The purpose of this organization is to promote research, education, training and development in the area of geochemistry. The Student Chapter of the Association of Applied Geochemists, University of Nevada, Reno, seeks to provide a forum which fosters communication, enhances the dissemination of related information, and encourages professionalism in geochemistry. Specifically, the following objectives are proposed:

To organize, sponsor, and maintain an active colloquia and/or workshop series which represents the diverse interests within the field.
Provide an informal environment for socializing and networking within and among various science curricula on the campus of UNR and other campuses that support student chapters of the AAG.
Encourage student research presentations.
Establish and promote a positive identity that best reflects the interdisciplinary programs in Geochemistry at UNR.
