Aaron Goodman, 2025 Cameron-Hall Copper Medal

As the lead author of the most outstanding scientific publication in volume 25 of our journal Geochemistry: Exploration, Environment, Analysis in 2025 for the paper entitled: “Investigating nanoparticle pathfinder geochemistry in stream sediments using single particle inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry: a case study at the Sundance gold mineralization, Wyoming, USA” by Aaron A Goodman, Mary E. Doherty and James F. Ranville (https://doi.org/10.1144/geochem2024-066).

This paper provides insight into the role of nanoparticles in forming stream sediment geochemical anomalies, and suggests that splCP-MS may be a useful complement to conventional techniques for future mineral exploration.

The award will be presented at the
31st International Applied Geochemistry Symposium
Beijing, China
September, 2026
