This support is in the form of sponsoring three of the keynote presentations in a special geochemistry session on April 3 selected to provide a non-antipodean flavour to the session. These are to be given by Steve Piercey (Exploration lithogeochemistry for volcanogenic massive sulfide (VMS) deposits), Juan Carlos Ordóñez-Calderón (Applications of machine learning to model 3D geological attributes of mineral deposits using multi-element geochemical data) and Dennis Arne (A catchment analysis approach to the interpretation of regional stream sediment data: Examples from the Canadian Cordillera).

In addition, the AAG is also hosting a one-day short course on April 2 entitled “Exploration Geochemistry: Applying Fundamentals in the Field” ( The short course is being coordinated by David Cohen and will include contributions from Steve Piercey and Dennis Arne.
